On July 5th, Sény Facinet Sylla, Second Vice President of Guinea’s National Transitional Council (CNT), led a delegation to visit the Guiyang Aluminum Magnesium Design & Research Institute (GAMI) of China Aluminum International Engineering Co., Ltd. (CHALIECO). During the visit, Sylla and his delegation held cordial talks with the institute’s leadership. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including green development of the aluminum industry and technical cooperation.

During the talks, Vice President Sylla spoke highly of GAMI’s technical strength and achievements in international cooperation. He noted that the purpose of this visit was to learn from China’s experience in balancing ecological protection with industrial development. He expressed hope that GAMI would further engage in the modernization of Guinea’s aluminum industry, particularly in areas such as green smelting, energy conservation and emissions reduction.

The leader of GAMI provided a detailed overview of several key projects advancing in Guinea. He stated that GAMI will actively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative, fully leverage its strengths as a scientific research and innovation platform, and continue to support CHINALCO’s efforts in local bauxite resource development and industrial chain building—contributing sustained “aluminum-magnesium” expertise to the growth of Guinea’s aluminum industry.
